The Mother I once knew

My days are spent taking care for my mom. I don’t regret it at all I wouldn’t want it any other way. It’s just heartbreaking to take it all in but I do my best. It helps to write and share with all of you. I wrote this poem and I hope you like it. Have a wonderful day! 😊

The mother I once knew

Is gone!

Far away away

She has dementia

And has become like

Someone I don’t even know!

It’s hard and all I can do is

Hold back the tears cuz all

Those years are gone!

Long gone!

There’s nothing I can do just

Keep holding on

To what is left

But there’s not much!

Of it

Left!
