I wrote this poem.  I started this blog because of my mom having dementia and Alzheimer’s and a great deal of my family has it too.  My mom is struggling right now and she has a great deal of challenges.   It helps me to write and share with all of you.  Have a great day!

How can I say goodbye

After all these years

And tears!

It’s so hard to understand

What your going through!

I love you so much mom

I would give anything to feel

Your touch again!

But if the Lord decides

He wants you

There will be nothing

That I can do!

I know it will end

Your pain!

And set you free!

But you won’t be

With me!

I will miss you

So much!

But I know I

Will feel your touch again

Sometime, somewhere!🌼😀

How do I take all these pieces

Of my heart!

And put them back together

Again?

I do not know but

That makes me grow!

Into what you want me to be

So I can be free!

It’s so hard to understand

All that’s in your plan!

I can get carried away til I

Listen to what you have

To say!

To me!

You have the best

For me!

But sometimes I have to

Get on my knees!

And listen to your voice!

Because I really have no

Choice!

In your plan

For me!

Mother

When you become

A mother it’s like

No other

Everything changes its

Not just you anymore it’s

So much more!

Nothing will ever be the same

Your heart is full and you gained

So much from

Just one little touch!

It’s amazing and crazy how fast

They grow!

One minute they are so little

And the next they are

All grown up!

You wish it would slow down

Just A little!

So enjoy every minute you have

Cuz it goes by so fast!

Love them like no other!

Hold them every day and

Tell them you love them

No matter what!🌼😀

Mom

Happy Monday!  I wrote this poem! It seems like my mom is slipping away from us more and more each day! Sometimes it’s so hard to bare.  So it helps me to write.  I appreciate all of you so much!  Have a wonderful day!😀

I want my mom back

Like she was before!

I want more time

With her!

I want her to remember

All the times we’ve shared!

I want her to remember my

Steps that I took when I was

A little child.  I want her to remember

When I was a teenager and came home

Late and then grew up and got married

To have her grandchildren!

I want more time

I want her to remember all

The love and tears and

Laughter we shared!

I need more time

With her!

It breaks my heart

To be far apart!

It’s not fair that I care

So much!

I need more time

I have things to

Say to her I need her to be

With me to lift me up

When I fall down!

I need her to carry me!

Carry me!

Please mom come back to me!

I miss you so much!🌼😀

Nobody came

And it wasn’t

The same!

I don’t understand

All of your plan!

But you have the best

For me!

So I can be free!

I try and try sometimes

I don’t know why?

It’s a uphill battle with

Things coming about

But I can’t give up I got

To keep fighting

No matter what!

Cuz there’s got to be

A reason for

All of this season!

That I’ve been through!

And really all I can

Do!

Is trust in you

To help me

Make it through!

Here in New York we had very high winds for a couple of days.  The school was closed and many people didn’t have electricity.  We were very fortunate to still have our power on the whole time.  I am very thankful for that.  Have a great week!😀

We should all

Laugh a little more

Smile a little more

Be thankful a little

More

For all the things we

Have

Because we never

Know when things could

Change

So start everyday with

A smile and love

Always!

Remember it takes more

Muscles to frown than it does

To smile!😀

Overwhelmed

I’ve been sick for a couple of days with some kind of a virus. I’ve missed all of you!  I hope you all have a wonderful day! 😀🌼

I’m overwhelmed

By my life and strife

When I get up it starts

My heart is beating

So fast!

I try to control it but I can’t

It hurts so bad it’s like a knife

Is going in me!

I just want to be set Free

From all this

I’m  a mother and a daughter

What else can I be?

I try and try!

And sometimes I

Don’t know why!

There are so many things to do

Sometimes its to much to

Get through!

I have dishes and laundry and

Kids saying mommy!

Don’t get me wrong I

Am strong!

But some days are

Very long! I’m

Trying my very best but

Sometimes

All I need is

To rest!😀🌼

Years and that almost

Brings me to more

Tears.

We’ve been through

So much.

But we love

Each other so!

What would I do without
