I haven’t posted in a while. I’ve been busy working my new job and preparing for the Holidays. I can’t believe it’s been 7 months since my mom passed away. I miss her so much. It’s especially hard this year for me because this is the first year without my parents. I miss them so much and I can hardly believe it. It’s a day to day struggle but I’ve been doing fairly well. I want to continue writing my blog. I think that is what my mom and dad would want. I want to continue this journey.

I hope you will still continue to read my blog. I want to help other people who might be dealing with people with dementia and Alzheimer’s and who struggle losing their parents. So maybe I can write again and share my heart and maybe along the way help someone. I hope to write more and I hope I can share with all of you.

Quitting

I wrote this poem a few years ago and I thought I would share it today with all of you!  Sometimes we feel like giving up but we have to keep going and trying.  I hope you have a great day!

I’m not quitting

I’m going to run

this race to the

finish!

With Gods help I’m

going to make it!

I’ve had some hard times

and things that come against me

but that will only make me

stronger in the end.

God has put a special gift inside

of me and I’m going to

use it for his glory.

I won’t take any less anymore.

For greater is he that is in

me than he that is in the world.

Blog Reflection

I haven’t been on in a week or so.  It’s been very busy around here lately.  My dad had To go  to the hospital last week by ambulance and he had to stay for three days.  He had a relapse from his copd.  He is doing much better now.  I had to spend a few days at my mom’s which can be a challenge.

I have been thinking about where this blog is taking me.  I have been thinking about moving to WordPress.org and maybe monetize.  I’m not quite sure on how to go about it.  Does anybody have any thoughts on this.  I’ve been with WordPress.com for almost two years now I just feel like I need a change.  I’ve enjoyed doing this blog and I’ve enjoyed all your posts.  I hope you have enjoyed my blog.  I will continue with my journey.  Have a great day!  😀🌼

Dreams

When you close your eyes

You rest and think about

So many things a

Great deal of what

Life brings!

You don’t understand

It all!

You wonder what is going on?

And when it is

A reality?

Does it mean anything?

Or it something you

Just make up?

Is there a purpose behind

All of this?

You try and see but it’s

So hard

Sometimes?

You know there is a

Purpose somewhere

And someone Cares

Today I am thankful for all of you and this blog.  I began writing this a year and a half ago and I’ve enjoyed it so much.  I enjoy reading all of your posts too.  It helps me so much it gets me through some of the toughest days.  I wrote this poem and I hope you all have a joyous Thanksgiving with your family and loved ones!  😊🌼

For all that you

Have!

Cherish every minute

You can breathe and can

Function!

Don’t ever take things

For granted!

Smile more laugh more

Enjoy even the tiniest

Things and enjoy

Everyone especially

Dear Mom

Most of you know my mom has dementia and sometimes it’s very hard to deal with.  It helps me to write about it and to share. I wrote this poem.  It’s my wish that I could help someone out there who is facing this terrible disease with a friend or family member.  Know that your not alone and someone cares. Have a great day!

Oh mom

I wish I could go

Back when you were

Free from all of this

Disease.

It’s not fair that

Your missing out on all these

Memories!

I will remember for you I will

Help you I will be there for you

No matter what!

When I was little you were there and

All through my life and you have

Made me into the person I
