I can’t believe it’s been almost two years since I started this blog! I have enjoyed it very much and I hope it has helped someone who is going through this terrible disease called dementia ! It’s hard but it helps to know your not alone! I wrote this poem it helps to share! Have a wonderful day !
Where did she go?
Where did she go?
This person that once
Was your mother
Like no other!
It’s almost to much to
Bear!
But I care so much
I would give anything anything
To have her back by my side
I’m trying in take in
All in stride!
But some days I just don’t understand
All of your plan!
I miss her so much and I feel
Like she’s disappearing away
From me even though her bodies
There she has gone far far away!
There’s nothing I can do just
Watch!

It is difficult… Just try to take time to remember all the joy and times you shared. Sometime it hurts to remember… but it may keep you from only thinking of your mother as she is now. We never know truly what a loved one is feeling inside…. Diane
