I wrote this poem. Lately we’ve had to make some important decisions regarding my mom’s care. It has been very stressful. I have decided I’m going to care for her. I know it’s going to have some challenges but I feel that would be best for her and my dad. Please pray I can do everything that is needed. I would appreciate it very much. Have a great day!🌼😀

Decisions

Are so hard to make

It makes me break into

Two!

But what else can I do?

I know I have to

Trust in you

Somehow?

Sometimes I don’t understand

All of your

Plan!

But you know more

And you care!

So much for me!

I just want to be set

Free

From all this!

Somehow

Somewhere!😀

From someone who has “been there and done that,” I wish you first and foremost physical health and strength – believe me, you’ll need it! Secondly, sending prayers and blessings your way for emotional and mental resilience and fortitude – you’ll need them too. Decisions will need to be made, sometimes on the spot, and sometimes very hard decisions. Lastly, perseverance to dig for, find, and access any helpful resources that might be available.
When all is said and done, the only comforting thought will be, “I’ve done all I could and left no stone unturned.”

Hi.. Just to let you know, that I understand your decision. We looked after my mother as long as it was possible to do so, with regard to being able to leave her alone ever, and being able physically to meet her needs. There came a day however, and only you will know if it ever comes, that she had to be placed in a 24 hour long term care.
I only mention that, so that if that time comes you will know that you will have such a range of emotions to deal with…. but it may at some point come, so don’t ever feel guilt if it does. Take care… Diane
