Today I really feel like giving up my blog. I know all of you have felt the same way at some point in time. I really hope I am helping someone out there who may be struggling. To be honest I haven’t been feeling very good and I don’t know what is going on. So I’m trying to do my very best. I just started this and I still have a lot of work to do to better this. I have a great deal of questions. I really hope you are enjoying my posts! Any suggestions you have would be appreciated. I wrote this poem and I hope you like it. I really enjoy sharing with all of you! I guess I just got to keep moving forward!😊🌼
When I was a
Little kid. I wonder
What I did?
It’s funny how
Life goes by !
In a blink of a eye!
You don’t even realize it
Til it’s gone.
Sometimes I long for the day
When I used to go out
And play!
And do things that were
Fun!
Like run around and just
Be a kid!
It seems like so long ago!
When the things were
Slow!
So here I am at
Middle age
And think back to
The days of
Long ago!🌼😊
almost every other day I wonder the relevance of my obscure little blog…but then, the next day, I’m at it again…
I use to tell my students that sometimes the good we do, the lives we touch, the fruits of our labors may not always be for us to see and know…but for someone else down the road to be touched or moved…long after we have come and gone…
So, yes, keep writing 🙂

Hang in there. I think some of the time we blog to fill a need in ourselves almost more than that others read it. Others enjoying it is gravy. You are doing great!

First, try to find out why you’re not feeling well. And, by all means, don’t stop writing! You may not think it but your blog would be missed! I struggle with the thoughts that others are so much better at everything I write about but The Chicken Grandma is right! We write because we need to write!

Hi, I popped over to read some of your blogs. I don’t always get a chance to do so right away. You read my last post… and I just felt led to come here. I read some of the first ones you wrote and some later ones. You wrote about your mother having alzheimers, and though my mother didn’t have that… she did have a brain aneurysm and brain surgery, and declined in her mental and physical health for many years before she passed.
I remember it being so hard to see her like she was in those years, because she was such a vital active woman before she got ill. I would visit her in the nursing home as she finally had to go into, as we couldn’t care for her at home anymore. It tore my heart out each time, but of course even though she couldn’t speak and we didn’t know if she even knew us; we had to go. She had to know she was loved and not forgotten. I don’t know why the Lord left her so long the way she was, but He is in control.. I cried many tears though during those years.
Since you’re a Christian you know He loves your mother and you, I hope you can somehow realize that although it hurts so much, we have to just take one day at a time… but I know it’s hard.
By the way, I notice you don’t use tags on your blogs ..and only one category. I didn’t understand the importance of ‘tags’ for quite awhile after I began blogging, until someone explained it to me. Other people very often find blogs to read by ‘tags’ and categories.. but tags are important. If you’d like me to explain it I will..Maybe it isn’t an issue for you. When I began blogging I never had anyone read or comment on my blog for 3 months or more, because I wasn’t using them.
Anyway, take care …. Diane

Hi.. okay. When you write a post about a certain subject, like Alzheimer’s or a poem, or about God, or Christianity, etc. you would on the left side of where you write your post, it says tags; you would put a few ..not usually more than 10 separated by a comma after each one. For example
Alzheimer,poem,God,health,family,
love,mother, and then click ‘add’.
When you do that people who use the ‘Reader’ to find blogs they might like to read search for the type they like and will see your tags, and come to your site.
You should also add some more ‘categories’ just above where the tags are. Similar to ones you commonly write about…
If you look on my site you’ll see the tags etc. so if someone does come to my blog and want to read any blogs connected to one of my most common tags they click on it and it will take them to any post that I have posted with that subject…
Any other questions just ask… Diane

Oh and if you want your tags to display on your site you need to go to the ‘admin page’ and on left side ‘Appearance’ .. ‘Widgets’ select Tag Cloud so it will go on your sidebar … You’re welcome btw… Diane

I have struggled with wondering whether writing on my blog is worth it, especially because it seems as though I spill out my heart and no one “follows” me. But, recently I re-read one of my blogs from a previous year and was a little surprised that I had totally forgotten that story. If it were not for the fact that I had blogged about that event, it would have been a memory easily lost. It was then that I realized that I should keep blogging…even if I am the only reader and follower. I blog so I will remember. If others read it too, well that’s just icing on the cake.
Keep writing!
