She’s slipping away
Away
And all I can do is pray
She’s my mom
And I love her so much
But right now
She needs your sweet touch
It’s so hard
To understand
That someday soon
She might not remember me
And it really makes me want to flee
But I can’t really I just have to bear it
And try my best to make it through
All I can do is hold back the tears
This woman who has been with
Me all of these years
I wish it would just go away
But really all I can do is pray everyday.
